Analisis Persepsi Mahasiswa terhadap Efektivitas Layanan dan Fasilitas Perpustakaan dalam Menstimulasi Minat Baca

The university library is an academic heart that functions to support the smooth running of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through providing information and meeting student literacy needs. This study aims to analyze in depth the perceptions of Faculty of Economics students at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Banyuwangi regarding the effectiveness of library services and facilities in increasing their interest in reading. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out through direct observation periodically from April to May 2026, visual documentation, and in-depth interviews with key informants consisting of library staff and economics students. The results showed that the aspects of friendly and responsive service, as well as the availability of supporting physical facilities such as air-conditioned rooms, search computers, lockers, and the BI Corner were rated very well by students and succeeded in stimulating visiting comfort. However, a crucial obstacle was found in the limited collection of textbook for economics courses of recent editions. The recommendation of this research is the need to procurement contemporary library collections periodically to optimize the role of the library as a relevant independent learning center for Faculty of Economics students.
